Any night where I can hear Crucial Conflict, SWV, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and a 1992 Wayne’s World-style “Bohemian Rhapsody” singalong in the same set is a night for me. The second edition of Yea Man!’s monthly nineties party featured DJ sets by Hollywood Holt, Team Bayside High, and Disco Death Threat, the latter doing a tag team set of acid house and guilty pleasure hip hop. Kelly Cardenas Salon had a pop-up makeover station, Hey! Cliche! Video Club handled the visuals, and Lipstick Dinosaur provided ridiculous 90s fashion for people who didn’t come prepared.
