Ladies’ Night at Exit

For one night only, Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter, the monthly upstairs dance party at Exit, became Ladies Night, a benefit for the Girls Rock! Chicago, a rock’n'roll summer camp for girls ages 8-16 that teaches them how to form bands, write songs, and play instruments, along with all sorts of workshops on everything form self-defense to making zines. The party featured DJ sets from a number of women who count themselves among Chicago’s best, and whose sets ran the gamut from juke to house to dance pop. DJ Mollybass, Lovstond, Go! Streetrat, and Dani Deahl spun, while usual residents Ura Frique and Staetion acted as hosts.
