Art War at Treasure Town

Art War was an interdisciplinary showcase of art in the round at Treasure Town. Walls and barriers were set up and broken down as needed as a mural gave way to a stage fight demonstration blending into a play, firespinning, video, a blood soaked dance troop, emcee Phillip Morris rapping over “Hall of the Mountain King”. There were jugglers on stilts and drive-by face painting, and reggae and cowpunk and hip hop and it all ended in a crescendo of chaos and confusion as a phalanx of mustachioed Chicago cops ran into the building to subdue the drunk guy who was starting shit outside.
