Nocturna’s 25th Anniversary
Posted on June 24th, 2013 by eric
Congratulations! Born in the dark, dark shadows of Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush in a much much grimier city of Chicago, Nocturna is finally old enough to rent a car! DJ Scary Lady Sarah has been at the helm the whole time, spinning over 250 spooky kid dance parties. In addition to the candy, the lights, the streamers, and all the usual pomp and circumstance (dark pomp, and dark pomp), Scary Lady Sarah and William Faith’s band The Bellwether Syndicate played a blistering set of sonic choonz, and I think the night ended with a lot of people rolling around on a lot of people’s floors, fumbling with all sorts of boots and orset straps and buckles and laces. Scroll down to see the full set of GlitterGuts portrait booth photos from the night.
