OffBeat at Debonair

Fun fact: Did you know that the stripes on the British flag each represent a different country in the UK? The red cross in the foreground comes from St. George’s Cross and represents England. The white X emblazoned on blue behind it comes from St. Andrew’s Cross and represents Scotland. The red X on top of that comes from St. Patrick’s flag and represents Ireland.
You see how the flags in the background of all these pictures are missing that red X? That’s because the place where I work my day job bought a bunch of bootleg flags from one of their distributors. They were all labeled as British flags, which may or may not technically be correct, since they were at one point, but haven’t been since 1801.
Not that any of that has to do with parties.
These pictures were from the inaugural edition of Offbeat, the new Britpop night at Debonair, which featured DJ and VJ sets from Biobooster, Sirhan, and Brad Owen. The backdrop was done in collaboration with Derek Specs.
